JD Leclair, DVM – Veterinarian

JD grew up in Tanzania and Uganda, Africa where his family worked with dairy cows for Heifer Project International. His love of animals began there and continued when his family moved to Arizona. Working as a wrangler on a ranch near the Mogollon Rim and for a local veterinarian during high school, helped direct him toward Colorado State for an Equine Science degree in 2006 and DVM in 2010.

JD started Leclair Equine in 2013 and loves serving the horses and people of the Berthoud area. He has a passion for teaching and greatly enjoys educating clients about equine wellness, as well as mentoring up and coming veterinarians. He and his wife Lori live in Berthoud with their 4 kids and are enjoying learning how to raise cattle and grow hay on their little farm.
